Types of Membership

Institutional Membership

The Institutional Membership of the Association is defined as a member institution with a police/public safety/security department from the California Community Colleges(CCC’s), the California State Universities (CSU’s), the Universities of California (UC’s), all private colleges and universities and all K-12 institutions within the State of California.

Each Institution Member includes up to seven (7) individual memberships. For the purposes of Association representation, each institution shall designate one (1) member as an Institutional Representative. The Institutional Representative must: 1) be a full-time employee of the institution or campus-based organization and not a contract security service or private company employee; 2) occupy a primary executive level position; and 3) have day-to-day oversight and responsibility for public safety operations at their respective institution. The Institutional Representative may serve on all positions of the Board of Directors.

The six (6) remaining members are referred to as Professional Members who are individuals employed by the same institution or campus-based organization. Additional Professional members may be added at the prevailing membership rates.
